In the summer the river is also great for swimming, and children can play for hours in the shallow, gentle waters.
The scenic Lake Marcenay is just 30 minutes drive and is safe for swimming and provides canoe hire and has free barbecue facilities. Lac de Pont, close to Semur en Auxois offers a wide range of water sports, including sailing, windsurfing and jet skiing.
