Our Vision

Our vision is to create a happy, healthy, French-speaking early childhood learning environment for Seattle-area families seeking a multicultural, health-conscious school for their children.

We believe a brilliant future full of love in a multicultural world starts with one child, one “petit village” at a time.

About Our Director,
Tata Gboungué

Gboungué (Boon-gay’) Clamoungou moved to the United States in 1994. Originally from Tchad, she also lived in France, and Central and West Africa, where she earned a BA in Languages, before settling in Seattle.

In her early career, she worked as an administrative assistant for a translation service and an in-flight air company. Enjoying young children, she shifted her focus and chose to nanny for Seattle and Kirkland families and enriched their experience by teaching them French. She also taught French for an after-school program at Peter Kirk Elementary.

After the birth of one of her nieces and sensing a need, Gboungué founded Le Petit Village, to teach French to her niece and a wider group of children.

Gboungué‘s warm personality and myriad travel and cultural experiences combine to create a nurturing, vibrant, and unique learning environment for young children.
